    The members of Good Hope Baptist Church covenant with one another before God to humbly submit to the authority of God's Word in all matter of faith and practice (Ec. 12:13).

    We believe the purposes of the church are to worship God according to the teaching of His Word, to practice the New Testament precepts and examples of the Church, to sustain the ordinances, to teach and conform to Scriptural doctrines, and to preach and propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ.

LEADERSHIP

Under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, Good Hope is Elder-led, Deacon-served,

Committee and Team-operated and Congregationally-approved. Our church is autonomous, with the ability to function independent of any other church or convention. Our church is affiliated with the North Carolina Baptists (www.ncbaptist.org) and the Southern Baptist Convention (www.sbc.net).


BECOMING A MEMBER

In order to be a member at Good Hope, a person must have a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, calling Him Lord and trusting Him as Savior, must have been water baptized by immersion as a believer, must subscribe to the church covenant, the Baptist Faith and Message and the constitution of this church, must attend our church’s membership course, and must be received into membership by simple majority vote of the church at any business meeting.
