Pastor David brings with him experience as a family and children’s pastor, spanning well over a decade. Pastor David has demonstrated his commitment to evangelizing and discipling children, as well as encouraging parents to be spiritual leaders in their own homes. David’s experience coupled with his passion to reach homes with the Gospel make him uniquely qualified to serve at Good Hope Baptist Church.
Pastor David believes in creating a children’s ministry where the truths of the Gospel are shared with love, fun and excitement, fostering a genuine desire to know and follow Jesus. His goal is to see our little ones embrace Christ as their Savior and walk boldly in their faith.
Pastor David holds a Master of Divinity in Apologetics and a PhD in Religion from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has a solid and sound understanding of God’s Word and will undoubtedly guide our children on a path of deeper knowledge of and faith in the Lord.
David has been married to his wife Erin for the past 18 years and they have three beautiful daughters ranging in age from 9 to 14 years. Please join us in welcoming Pastor David and his beautiful family. We look forward to his leadership and engagement with our children and their families as we reach our community with the Gospel!
Please keep Dr. Stanford and his family in your prayers as they settle into our church family.
Dear Church Family,
I am so excited to be starting at Good Hope Baptist Church as I seek to partner with you all to invest in the lives of the children and families of the church. My family and I have felt so loved by the church already, and we are looking forward to getting to know you all more in the days, weeks, and years to come.
I love working with kids and helping them to grow in their faith in Christ. We serve a truly great God, and it is a joy to share with kids both how He has worked in the past and how He is at work right now. Also, I love coming along side parents as they seek to raise their kids in the fear and admonition of the Lord. God has placed a high calling on parents. He has called on us to be the spiritual leaders in our home. I want to be an ally with the parents of Good Hope as you seek to make your homes a place where Christ is lifted up and discipleship is a priority.
Psalm 148:12-13 says “Young men as well as young women, old and young together. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted. His majesty covers heaven and earth.” God wants everyone from the youngest to the oldest to praise Him. I look forward to partnering with all of you, as we seek to help the youngest among us praise the name of our awesome and mighty God.
In Christ,
David Stanford
