When: Sundays 5:15pm – 6:45pm
Where: Room 7 of Children’s Building
Christmas Musical Practice Starts September 13
Grace Notes Children’s Choir at Good Hope Baptist Church is a place where children in Kindergarten through 5th grade can grow in their love for music, worship, and Jesus—all while having fun and building friendships along the way. We believe children aren’t simply the worshipers of tomorrow; they can learn to worship, serve, and use their gifts for God today. Grace Notes gives kids an encouraging environment where they can sing, learn, create, and experience the joy of making music together.
About Grace Notes
Grace Notes is about much more than learning songs. Throughout the year, children are introduced to music theory, movement, sign language, musical instruments, singing, and performance skills in ways designed especially for young musicians. They also have opportunities to participate in worship and special programs at Good Hope, helping them develop confidence while learning what it means to use their talents as part of the church. And because some of the best memories are made together, Grace Notes is also a wonderful place for kids to make friends, laugh, work as a team, and simply have fun!

Now Preparing For Christmas: The Silent Knight
Hear ye, hear ye! A grand adventure awaits the young singers of Grace Notes Children’s Choir at Good Hope Baptist Church! This year, our children will step into a kingdom of knights, castles, and royal adventure as they present Christy Semsen’s The Silent Knight. Grace Notes is about much more than preparing for a performance—it’s a place where kids can have a great time, make new friends, build confidence, and discover how they can use their own gifts to glorify God. Along the way, there will be singing, acting, costumes, characters, laughter, and plenty of medieval fun!
Christmas Rehearsals Begin September 13
So gather your young lords, ladies, knights, and future troubadours and join the kingdom! No royal pedigree or previous stage experience is required—just a willingness to participate, learn, and have fun. Register your child for Grace Notes today, and let the quest begin!
Why do we teach children to sing?
- To worship God — Music helps children express praise while learning more about who God is and what He has done.
- To learn God’s Word — Biblical truths put to music can stay in our hearts and minds for a lifetime.
- To share Jesus with others — Singing gives children another way to communicate the hope and joy of the Gospel.
- To participate in worship — Grace Notes helps children discover that they have a meaningful place in the worship and ministry of the church.
- To develop lifelong musical skills — Singing and music can become lifelong activities at church, at school, at home, and wherever God leads them.
- Because Scripture tells us to sing! — Throughout the Bible, God’s people are encouraged to sing and make music to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:19–20; Psalm 33:1; Psalm 68:4; Deuteronomy 31:19)
