Hurricane Helene Relief Options

With the recent storm hitting the western part of our state, we have seen images of great destruction due to the torrential rain that has caused much devastation.  Add to that, the loss of electricity, clean water, food, cell phone service, and needed medical help; it is overwhelming – but we can help.

For immediate help, you can financially contribute to the Baptist On Mission Disaster Relief, who already have teams in place.  100% of your financial contributions go directly to relief for this disaster.  All donations are greatly appreciated, however, there are things that will need to be purchased and your financial contributions play an important role.

To financially help, go to: https://baptistsonmission.org/Mission-Projects/By-Mission-Type/Disaster-Relief/Hurricane-Helene/Donations and make your contribution there.  If you prefer, you can give your check or financial resources to Good Hope with the indication that it is for Baptist On Mission, and we’ll send your contributions from the church of which we have already received $3000 for this effort.

If you desire to help in a physical capacity, please go to: https://baptistsonmission.org/Mission-Projects/By-Mission-Type/Disaster-Relief/Hurricane-Helene/Get-Involved and they will contact you with additional information about what is needed and when.  If a group within Good Hope desires to go and help, please contact Darrow Rimmer at darrowrimmer@gmail.com who can help coordinate those efforts.

If you want to help with material goods, please see the below information from the Raleigh Baptist Association as they are shipping two loads out for the flood-stricken area:
